⛔Your PH Balance vs Your Eating Habits

You've made it to the weekend!

Today, we are still practicing mindfulness as it relates to what we eat. As mentioned in the last post various foods and drinks may have negative effects on our bodies. This includes changing the natural pH balance in our body. Which further shows the role that our eating habits play in our overall well-being.

What is pH and Why Does it Matter?

Your body thrives within a specific pH range, a measure of acidity and alkalinity. While your body works hard to maintain this balance, certain foods and drinks can disrupt this delicate balance, which may lead to a variety of issues. A balanced body pH is linked to overall health, potentially impacting digestion, immunity, and even energy levels.

Even the mouth thrives within a specific pH range. A healthy balance helps prevent the growth of bad bacteria that contribute to bad odor, tooth decay, and even gum disease. Unhealthy eating habits can create an acidic environment in the mouth, making it easier for these harmful bacteria to flourish.

Additionally, our balanced pH level is crucial for vaginal health, it maintains a slightly acidic pH level, like a mild vinegar solution. This environment promotes the growth of good bacteria, which helps keep things healthy. Certain eating habits can potentially lead to throwing off the vagina's natural pH. This imbalance can cause yeast infections and unpleasant odors.

What do you need to do?

Ensure that you fuel your body for balance! Do that by being mindful of the food that you put into your body and ensuring that you listen to your body. Also, remember that your body is unique. Therefore, you have to figure out what works for your body.
